About Mockrew
A browser-native API mocking tool for Chrome.
Mockrew is a Chrome extension for mocking APIs while you build and debug web applications. It started from a simple frustration: to fake one endpoint you had to install a proxy, trust a certificate, configure a rewrite rule, and remember to turn it all off again.
Three principles
- Local first. Interception, mocking and rule storage all happen inside your browser. Your API traffic is never uploaded, and the extension works without an account.
- Declarative over scripted. Most cases should be a few fields, not a script. When a script really is needed, JS Hooks are available — but they are the exception, not the entry fee.
- No surprises. Rules say exactly what they match and what they do; the panel tells you when a rule cannot take effect, and why.

Pricing, honestly
The core toolkit is free. Pro exists to fund maintenance and the heavier features — sequenced responses, JS Hooks and unlimited rules and projects. Payments are handled by our merchant of record, so tax and invoicing are handled for you.
Google sign-in and your data
Signing in with Google is optional and uses only the basic profile scopes (openid, email, profile): your name, email address and avatar URL. This data is used only to create and identify your Mockrew account. It is never used for advertising, never used to train AI models, never sold, and is deleted when you delete your account.
